Abstract:There lies a certain and complementary relationship between the city image and the tourism industry. As the "signboard" and "name card" of a city, the city image is one of the most important part of a city and is also the vital factor influencing the grow th of tourism of a city or a region.This paper, taking Weihai in Shandong Province as an example, explores the universal issue of the relationship between city im age and tourism development through the research of the Weihai's environment and current tourism situation.
